Hi All,

It was an exciting evening this week with close games for both the Atomics and Explosives. The Explosives lost by 2 runs only this week - Man of the Match was Frank with 13 nett runs and very good bowling, 4 wickets for 1 run conceded. Welcome to Alastair Ramlakan as well who managed to hit his first 6 in his first game. We'll be hoping to see a lot more of those!

The Atomics had a hard first game losing by 40 runs, but recovering very well in their second game with great batting from Graham and Gerhard with a closing skin of 62. Sadly the opponents still managed to beat us with 17 runs but it still was a valiant effort from guys. The Men of the Matches was Erik and Graham with 10 and 14 nett runs respectively. Congratulations also to Erik also bowled up the team out of the park in the first game with 5 wickets for -4 runs, a hatrick included!

Despite the losses it was a good night with very good fielding all round. Let's take it up a step and take the next games!

PS: Apologies from my side though, I was hoping to get a few action photos for the site but neglected to check the battery in the camera before the game. I will bring it charged next week though so we can get a few good shots for the website.

The Atomics gave Fat Boyz a run for their money this week with a win of 23 runs, Gerhard took the title of Man of the Match with 16 net runs. Special mention must go to Wimpie as well for his bowling of 3 wickets for -5 runs!

The Explosives didn't do as well unfortunately with a loss by 37 runs.Nandu took Man of the Match with 13 nett runs, well done! Our fielding is looking a lot better though so keep it up guys, we'll blow up the opponents again soon!

Unfortunately both the Atomics and Explosives got a beating last night. Congratulations are still in order though for Philip and Heinrich for men of the matches, with 13 and 5 nett runs respectively. Also for Frank for taking 200th wicket, well done!

You will notice the website has been changed a bit to make it easier to navigate and maintain. Also to make the clutter a bit less I've decided to remove the players that haven't played since before 2007 from the current season's player profiles. If you think I should keep all of them up or change the cut-off margin please let me know. I will still add the non-active players' profiles in the archives though.

The season kicked off on a good note with the Atomics beating the Booze Boys with 32 runs on Tuesday the 25th of September. congrats to Man of the Match Nandu with 22 nett runs.

Lastly good luck with the new seasonand I'm sure it will be a great Summer 2007!
